SAN ANTONIO (CBSDFW.COM) – A doctor in Texas said a young man died after he said he went to a “COVID party.”

Dr. Jane Appleby, chief medical officer at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, said the man was 30 years old.

“He didn’t really believe, he thought the disease was a hoax. He thought he was young and he was invincible and wouldn’t get affected by the disease,” Appleby told KSAT.

According to the doctor, the man went to a “COVID party.” Appleby said a “COVID party” is when someone who contracts the virus invites friends over for a party “to see if they can beat the disease.”

“One of the things that was heart-wrenching that he said to his nurse was, ‘you know, I think I made a mistake’ and this young man went to a COVID part,” Appleby said.

everything you are. For some people, dying is easier." I feel sorry for the young man as well. I hope others can realize their error before it's too late.

I wonder if he had any co-morbidities or if he was just an average healthy 30-year-old. The article doesn't say.

However, it does seem like many younger people are being affected and suffering damage, even if they do survive. I really wish they would take it more seriously. Not just for their own sakes, but for the sake of their families, friends and other people in their communities who might be more susceptible to the illness than they are.

It's all about probabilities. If lots of healthy 30 year olds get sick, a few of them are going to die.

Hopefully he can at least serve as an object lesson.

Every now and then Dick Grayson or Robin would fall in like with some attractive young thing, who would turn out to be an accomplice of that week's villain. In the end, when the Penguin or the Joker was taken away, the pretty young thing would also be taken away to the hoosegow. Robin would be distraught and Batman would say, "Poor deluded girl."

I don't know why these stories remind me of those corny old TV shows, but godfuckingdammit take this seriously, you deluded motherfuckers.
