Too bad that "concern" didn't extend itself to her two votes to keep Needy Amin in office.@SenatorCollins
The Fourth of July is typically the height of Maines busy summer tourism season, but near-empty hotels, inns, B&Bs, and restaurants underscore the devastating effects the pandemic has had on many of our states small businesses and jobs.

(82,849 posts)The American people went to great lengths and sacrifice in March, April and May to buy time to come up with a plan. You and your party utterly wasted that effort, locked in pointless disputes about the efficacy of masks and social distancing, chasing after red herrings like injecting disinfectant or hydroxychloroquine, and ignoring or discounting the best advice from the medical professionals.
Two months later, the first wave never broke, and the pandemic has come roaring back worse than ever because Republicans couldn't stand the idea that someone somewhere might be getting more money from the CARES Act band-aid than they could from their shitty minimum wage job. So Collins and her party went against the best practices because the selfish madman in the White House and his yammering idiot cadre couldn't abide looking weak in the face of the pandemic. We abandoned our efforts that were working, started clustering together without precautions, and the epidemiologists were proven 100% right while Trump's hunches turned out 100% wrong.
So now you're concerned, Senator Collins? Eat a heaping, steaming plate of shit, you ghoul.

(16,927 posts)isn't meaningful without the "levels of concern" chart that Senator Collins uses to show her care/concern/worry.
When I see that I'll really know how she is feeling until she hears from Moscow Mitch.

(12,712 posts)And then, her concern gland was completely empty. Not even F's to give.
No concern about illness, death and disabilities, (not to mention job losses and evictions) in the midst of an exponentially exploding pandemic.
Well, it's a tiny concern gland, so that would explain it.

(15,540 posts)Maybe some of us would have vacationed in Maine this year but decided not to until you are voted out of office?
I had planned a trip to Maine this year, but decided against it and it had nothing to do with the pandemic. After her vote on impeachment and her sorry show with Kavanaugh, I decided I'll visit Maine once she's gone.
