But if they can develop a really effective treatment, that won't keep people from getting sick, but it will reduce the number of dead.

2. Unknown if antibodies will retain virility to sustain defense

One recent study seemed to indicate that antibodies fade after surviving the initial attack.

The other question is whether the virus mutates so that any vaccine will have to be redone every year like the flu vaccine.
