I am absolutely sickened

at Trump’s speech yesterday in Arizona to these young people ... yes I know it’s the same old same old from him, but it seems like he just keeps getting bolder and bolder and doesn’t even try to hide his white supremacism and love of fascism any more.

From Politico

https://www.politico.com/amp/news/2020/06/23/trump-rally-arizona-336565

*****

Speaking to the young audience, Trump tapped into campus culture wars on free speech to draw a divide between his supporters and protesters fighting against racism and police brutality following the death of George Floyd, an African American man, at the hands of a white police officer in Minneapolis.

Trump declared the students in the audience as the cultural defenders of not only his movement but also of American values as a whole, portraying Democrats as intolerant and “totalitarian.” He applauded the student activists in the crowd “who stand up for America and refuse to kneel to the radical left,” bashing the mainstream media and accusing “vicious” Democrats of stifling dissent but — and without evidence — accusing them of letting anyone vote, “even if they’re not citizens.”

The president condemned the removal of monuments for slave owners and Confederate leaders as a destruction of American history. He called the audience “smarter” than Democrats, who he said require “absolute conformity.”

“They hate our history, they hate our values, and they hate everything we prize as Americans,” the president said. “Our country didn’t grow great with them. It grew great with you and your thought process and your ideology. The left-wing mob is trying to demolish our heritage, so they can replace it with a new oppressive regime that they alone control."

(snip)

When he mentioned what he called “the plague,” the president dismissed it: “It’s going away,” he said.

“What a job we’re doing with testing. We did ventilators,” Trump said, attacking “the fake news people” for what he called misleading the public about how bad the situation is.

“We’re going to have a vaccine very soon,” he promised.

Later in the speech he made fun of the disease and its various names to rousing applause, including referring to it with his new xenophobic moniker, “kung flu.”

That is why that rally should not have gotten more than a passing reference in terms of its COVID-19 risk. Trump Campaign wanted to suggest that support for Trump among the youth was on the rise. It is NOT.

She pointed out that trump's two rallies, Tulsa and Phoenix, are the only two mass indoor gatherings
in the nation since the virus started. What an ass, all for his own ego he puts many lives at risk just
to try to be reelected.

It was off-the-hook looney tunes. Fat Bastard quadrupled down on the dog-whistling, and they lapped up that cesspool swill like it was Jeroboam of Chateau Mouton-Rothschild 1945. I had to constantly remind myself that these brainwashed rubes are in the minority, and that most kids that age are the complete opposite of that.

I've been so proud and excited at how our young folk have taken to the street with smart, strategic, passionate action all across the country. The last few weeks, as frustrating and painful ad they've been, have given me hope about our future and whose hands it is in.

And then these idiots show up.

I just have to keep reminding myself that they're in the distinct minority and that the true face and spirit of our younguns are on the front lines of the fight, not crammed into a church bellowing and chanting with Donald Trump

by their clueless parents and their right wing churches. Most were most likely educated by religious schools. They are in a bubble that they are comfortable in. Sadly, many of them will be sick in two weeks. They will come up with a conspiracy theory to explain it rather than blame the man they have been raised to worship.

The little Brownshirts have chosen their team.

I always wonder about these people, what must they be like, psychologically? How did they get that way, how do they behave in their daily lives, to be so cut off from logic and reason.

High drama and anger, for sure, but I just don’t understand that bubble of illusion of theirs.

He's ranting about the Democrats

portraying Democrats as intolerant and “totalitarian.”

What is he talking about?
I'll tell you what he's talking about!

That the Democrats built the greatest middle-class, the world had EVER seen from 1933 to 1981, when the (D)'s had the majority in congress every year except '45 & '46 then again in 53' & '54. That's 44 years out of 48, that the (D)'s controlled BOTH houses of Congress.

What did (D)'s do with all that power?
Again, (D)'s built the greatest middle-class, the world had EVER seen.

In 1981 when RayGun got elected, it has been down hill.
Since 1981, (R)'s have control both houses for 16 years and the (D)'s for 4 years.
The other 20 years were split.

Since he is unable to rile them up against Dems any other way, spreading hate by raging bigotted comments and spewing lies panders to this mostly undereducated middle to low income class of people given that's all they know and swear by - that minorities are evil because they are inferior, that they're there to take away their jobs and change their way of life, that this country belongs solely to whites. Disgusting as hell so i flip the channel whenever they show clips of him or risk becoming nauseous.

This is the sick reality we live in now. We need to throw him out of office come november, or this will not be country we want to live in.
