""There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what," Romney says in one clip. "All right -- there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent on government, who believe that, that they are victims, who believe that government has the responsibility to care for them. Who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing.""
To a closed door meeting of 30 donors. Full video has been given to David Corn, editor of Mother Jones.

GETS WORSE:
""My job is is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.""

And a hearty F*** You to you as well, Willard.
Does it not strike anyone as horrific that he thinks that a full FORTY-SEVEN PERCENT of this country are basically dependent on government teat? It's not that we don't like him guys. He thinks he is absolutely fine. *smh*

(17,651 posts)I hate this guy. I really despise even the air that surrounds him. Not enough bleach, Lysol or anti-bacterial soap out there to clean the filth.

(3,186 posts)Well, all of it was sickeningly Mittish, but that in particular struck me as very condescending. More so than usual because I think he believed he was among his buddies.
You get much more of a sense of who this guy is, and it ain't pretty.

(13,704 posts)area of national defense, paying on our investments in social security, Medicare, Medicaid, workers compensation, money designated by tax dollars for food programs, health care (Medicare, Medicaid), Housing assistance, small business assistance, growing education and all that stuff that is for the benefit fo US citizens. That is why we pay tax dollars to the US government. After all, the money the government gets comes from the people, no one else. We have the right to choose where our money goes.
Romney and his cohorts have benefitted from government assistance in many areas, one in allowing him to stash his money outside the US, letting him get way by not paying his fair share in taxes (incidently, perks and tax breaks that Reagan barreled through Congress)
The American people do not believe we are 'victims'. That is nothing less than an ultimate insult to people who have worked damn hard to contribute to the strength and health of the government designed for and of the people.

(34,108 posts)Because Romney can't straight-up say it at a presser.

(13,704 posts)benefits owed them by tax dollars paid for their welfare, Americans would want to have him tarred and feathered. We own the government and the government is not in place to only benefit slackers who don't pay their fair share and stash their money overseas to avoid paying same fairshare.
I have to say it. Romney is the first prez candidate that I would consider truly unAmerican.
And I will say this, he is a bastardly self-centered SOB.

(13,227 posts)I find it amusing how Rmoney
claims to have worked his way up from humble origins. His dad was a GOP insider and ran a car company, for crying out loud! Mitt Romney was never poor. He never ate ramen. He was never unemployed. And he never owned a company that manufactured anything, including a single job. Mitt Romney is th biggest fraud that ever walked the planet. At least Dubya never shied away from his origins. Hell, he all but admitted to being
a spoiled brat!
