Non-stop coverage of a stupid fucking Donnie Shit for Brains shitshow rally.
"Oh... what will he say this time?"."Who in the crowd will get the rose, or beaten by racist fucksticks"?
Stay tuned as we interview countless inbred, toothless hayseeds who will tell us why Donnie Dipshit is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
"Wow! Look at this exclusive footage of an empty podium"

It is unfortunate, but we have the power not to watch.

(10,243 posts)The media is not covering Trump in 2020 like they did in 2016; they're laughing at him now, not with him.

(13,620 posts)won't have Trump in a bubble, but they might have some way. That would be priceless if it could be shown Trump was kept safe from exposure while his followers weren't.

(15,728 posts)equipment from under the platform anyway. It gets awful hot. You can notice when it isn't enough air when some of the people behind start to pass out. I think it happened once at an Obama gig.
But if 5,000 come down with Covid but not Trump, then to them it will justify their belief in their new god.

(19,204 posts)a can and a half of Aqua Net Extra Super Hold hair spray after he winds that shit on his head into a hair turban. That amounts to about the same holding power of a gallon of pine sap. My mother used to use that stuff because it was cheap and her hair never moved. For some reason Trump's is still able to blow around in a stiff wind though.
LiberalArkie
(15,728 posts)the stage will get hot, except the vents blowing on him will be fresh filtered air. I would almost imagine that the podium has it built in for security reasons.

(2,250 posts)So lazy of them to just turn on the cameras and let Trump's rallies run unfiltered. Then package the scandalous sound bites and show those over and over until the next rally.

(291 posts)Always been rule number one. Whatever gets the attention in the land of 24 hour news. Chump is hoping for a lot of chaos. It would help fuel his magaT brigade.
I so wish it was so quiet outside the event you could hear crickets. No counter protestors, no cars.. nothing. Just the chump inside woes me-ing the entire time.

(6,933 posts)Media is plural for the word medium. Its everything broadcast and disseminated now and forever.
Blaming the Media is a Right Wing Rant and not appropriate here. They dont mean/blame the media, they mean blame non-propaganda sources in their way of broadcasting truth.
Repeating that rant is giving Trump what he wantsTrump wants you to be bothered.
Be smarter than that, dont use broad, propaganda terms like the media does this or that. When we do, blaming the media is the exact Trump goal.
Dont do it again. Either call show sponsors for paying for what you dont like or TURN IT OFF. Dont attack the most advanced communication in history because you dont like what some say.

(30,676 posts)So much to cover, so many eager reporters!
Instead they do 2 hrs editorial and repeat it over and over with long, repetitive stand ups. And of course many commercials.
What a disappointment!

(3,056 posts)"On Bended Knee" by Mark Hertsgaard. Written in 1988, it goes into the relationship between the press and Reagan, which is when all this started. He also attacked the press as being "liberal, liberal, liberal", and they then, like today, got so scared of being called names they immediately became his lapdog. The press only seems to develop a spine when Democrats are in charge. Democrats don't spend their time attacking the press, so I think they get "brave".
I just took it off my bookshelf to check the publication date, and it appears I had passed it along to my dad when I finished it. I had written "Dad, let's hope these men are the last of their kind". Looks like they'll always be with us in some form.

(16,616 posts)That was a fascinating book. Your post makes me wish I still had my copy. It didn't survive one of my moves and ended up in a library. But I still have a signed copy of Sam Donaldson's book from that era. He was most critical of journalists who showed a lack of courage to politicians.
