I've been honestly surprised these last three and a half years that someone hasn't stood up to these guys and set them straight.

I've seen GOP Senators back down, I've seen the military brass back down, I've seen our intelligence and law enforcement back down, I've seen our scientists back down.

It just takes one spark to start a fire.

3. So... they dicked around and didn't nominate anyone.

So judges picked Berman. And now Berman can't be fired by Barr.

They were finally caught out doing their routine pick someone as an interim and you don't have to get congressional approval.

for a few months, so nothing can go forward. At least that's what I gather from reading around. But they screwed up as they always do, because the law says that Berman will serve until the nominee is confirmed.
