1. You made me laugh out loud for real. Thing is, we have always known how people are.

Those who observe and think know there are patterns in human behavior that play out again and again. The stage just changes as we progress in technology and have certain histories behind us. But that VM Smith scene where he laughs for the first time when the big monkey at the zoo takes something from the medium monkey and instead of retaliating he knocks the crap out of the little monkey? Spot on - especially P.K. Dick. I'd love to have heard Hunter Thompson's take, and Ellison would have had some apocalyptic but hilarious end-times scenario about our current disease-state, largely inflamed by Trump.
