(17,015 posts)Warren supported, not endorsed, the only Dem running against Mitch until another candidate entered the race.

(18,402 posts)My assumption is that Warren said, ooh, a woman. And then after these past weeks events, she said, oooh, a black man.
In the end, Kentucky Democrats will choose.

(18,402 posts)the other day, regarding Jim Clybourn of SC endorsing Eliot Engel in a House race, somebody replied that nobody in the Bronx probably cares what Jim Clyburn thinks.
I dare say, nobody in Kentucky may care much about what Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts thinks either.
My point being, these endorsements are not really something to get ourselves in a pissing contest about. Most local voters dont know that it happened and most dont care. Indeed, too much attention to local races from other parts of the country sometimes backfires.
And yes, I realize this is about unseating the Republican Senate Majority leader. But its the people of Kentucky who are going to decide.

(113,083 posts)and WHY is that problematic?
Are we supposed to ONLY like one Dem candidate? I know we endorse or vote for just one, but, why cant we be welcoming and supportive of candidates we just happen to like?
