Today is the first day of the rest of this campaign.

The Romney campaign is re-booting. Their other strategy of hiding their tax returns and refusing to say what programs they would cut or how they would cut the deficit and how they could hoodwink the American people by telling them nothing of substance, seems to have failed?

So now, they have a new strategy. They still believe the same thing but they want to put it in a different package. They still want more taxcuts. They still want to cut Medicare. They still want to hoodwink the voters. So, what is different??

They want to focus more directly on Barack Obama and the unemployment numbers. And they want to tell people how bad the deficits are and how they can make everything better. They are coming out with new ads about how they would get tough with China.

They have changed nothing except they are going to double down with the attacks on President Obama. And they have some new ads to persuade the American people. The clock is ticking and they are fully aware that their days are numbered and if something doesn't change, they will be looking for another "strategy" about 7 or 8 weeks from now...

and they still have given no real reason for anyone to vote FOR Romney. Not likely to happen, as there doesn't really seem to be any actual reason.

They say nothing but attack Pres. Obama. Even when pressed for an answer to "What would Romney do differently?" They don't have an answer, because Romney doesn't have an answer! I think he is in over his head and realizes it isn't as easy as he thought it would be to run for President.

And he has no idea how hard it is to actually do the job (hint: much harder than the campaign).

...that there is no way to beat Obama unless they can convince Obama supporters not to vote. I would expect personal attacks like none we have seen in the campaign thus far. Since they cannot win on their own merits, their decision will be to tear down the merits of their opponent. It is more important than ever to educate people to their strategy and to get out the vote for the President. Those are the only two choices that we have.

Support for Romney is, at best, tepid. Especially among moderates. There will be some, on the left, who will decline the quadrennial nose holding for the lesser of two evils, but the majority will show up. However, a goodly portion of the right will dig their heels in and refuse to vote for Romney because he's too left wing (:silly .

This election is in the bag for Obama.
