2008- McCain Defends Czechoslovakia, A Non-Existent Country -- Again

At a press availability today, John McCain expressed concern about relations between Russia and a country that hasn't existed for quite some time. According to a rough pool report transcript, he said:

"I was concerned about a couple of steps that the Russian government took in the last several days. One was reducing the energy supplies to Czechoslovakia. Apparently that is in reaction to the Czech's agreement with us concerning missile defense, and again some of the Russian now announcement they are now retargeting new targets, something they abandoned at the end of the Cold War, is also a concern."

It was Liz Cheney who referred to Czechoslovakia when she accused President Obama of throwing them under the bus. Do you think they are both inhaling from the same pipe?

wrongly stating about the modern 21 century existence of Czechoslovakia.

Maybe its a cow bell alarm for stupid republicans to be worried about National Socialism? Obama=Hitler thing.
She's not that ignorant of a person.

Someone obviously handed out the old erroneous talking points and Darth's daughter spouted them out again like a good little zombie.

....the last time I checked, the derogatory meme of Obama = Hitler = Fascism = Socialist has no basis in fact. Nor does the meme Socialist = Fascist.

Fascism (R wing) is on the opposite end of the political spectrum from Socialism (L wing). The tenants of Fascism in theory are all about the supposed "rights" of one group or one person to triumph over and dominate the masses; whereas the tenants of socialism deal with the nurturing of society as a group of people, with the attitude that that group can be no stronger than its' weakest link.

That's why when people like Ben Gleck label Obama as a Nazi Fascist, and a dirty Socialist at the same time, I think to myself "come on guys, he is either one or the other, but there is no way that he can be both. How ignorant they are of history.

Sorry to be getting away from the thesis of the OP. It's just that I became distracted when you pointed out the other side's meme of Socialism = Obama = Hitler.
