Tops story on Google News: Mitt Romney and his band of clowns continue to run one

of the worst campaigns of recent memory

GOP candidate has taken a presidential election that should have been his to win and made it something for Barack Obama to lose.

Mitt Romney's clown act turned winnable election into a circus sideshow.

There was a lot of talk about Libya last week, because Mitt Romney didn’t know when to shut up about dead Americans, including Chris Stevens, a good man who was our ambassador there.

Somehow, in a terrible moment like that, Romney was boneheaded enough to hand political advantage over to the other side, despite the fact that the President went ahead with a scheduled campaign stop in Las Vegas the next day, as if delaying his appearance by an hour was a suitable mourning period.

But it is not just Libya. It is everything that has happened lately as Romney and the amateurs around him continue to run one of the worst campaigns of recent memory, even against one of the worst economies any sitting President has ever tried to defend.

The people around Romney don’t just look like amateurs, they look like clowns sometimes. Romney was never going to be a great candidate; he doesn’t have it in him, he too often comes across like some stiff poster boy for all the one-percenters who want him elected. But you thought he would do better than this, with the whole thing sitting right there for him, because of this President’s record on the economy and on jobs. Only Mitt Romney has taken an election that should have been his to win and made it something for Barack Obama to lose

McCain stopping his campaign and rushing to DC to "save the economy" during the big crisis hurt nobody except his own campaign.

McCain also attempted to put a lid on Palin's insane rhetoric. Palin looks incredibly foolish and makes us out to be nuts when she goes overseas, but even Palin could have handled a trip to the Olympics without insulting the hosting ally.

Romney pretending to be President and stepping into foreign policy -- during a crisis no less -- made things incredibly more difficult for this administration and could have made things far worse for the world. Whatever meddling he's done in Israel has been no help to the US, and Putin has made it clear Romney has not helped in our relations with Russia either.

He's taking the GOP plan to obstruct Obama at all costs to an entirely new, and dangerous, level.

RW rag isn't telling him to step up his game, they're rightly telling people he's not qualified to be President.

If this is how he runs his campaign, how the hell will he run the country?

4. He couldn't even manage his own press conference on Libya

Press was notified that he would appear to give a statement. At the last minute, press (already gathered for the event) was told they'd be given a written statement only. TV news showed the press leaving the room and the podium being taken down. Then press was told he'd appear to give a statement after all, and they could come back in the room after the podium and flags were re-set.

Then he did a statement and press Q&A. Followed by this...after speaking of the tragic death of the U.S. Ambassador to Libya and three other Americans...

And this is the guy the GOP puts up for the Presidency? Series?

I disagree. Why in heavens name would Google News think a republican candidate was a shoe in against a popular democratic president?

Republicans caused the Great Republican Recession that Obama is getting us out of! Why would we want to put back in power the party that created the mess?

And then Joe went through the entire list of conservatives that bashed the crap out of Romney last week for running a miserable campaign "based on nothing."
He said that Peggy Noonan had trashed Romney's campaign last weekend.
And Laura Ingraham trashed it on Monday.
Then Limbaugh weighed in and trashed it on Tuesday.

And that was before the consulate in Benghazi, Libya was attacked!!!
That was before Romney called his little midnight press conference late on Wednesday night to try and score political points by bashing President Obama's foreign policies.

"Incredibly bad" doesn't even come close to describing how bad Romney's campaign has been.
It's amateurish, sophomoric, racist as hell, and the worst campaign I have ever seen in my life.
The fact of the matter is, Romney was a lousy candidate during the Republican primaries, and he will remain a lousy candidate for the rest of the campaign season until this election is over.
Then, hopefully, he will retire to some state and get the hell out of the news.
