Seattle has given Fire Station #6 to a group to use as a community center in the Central District.

Of course, in the article that they quote and are pushing there is no mention at all that this was the OLD building, that a new state of the art fire station has been built, and that the building has been excess city property for the past several years.

First bunches of comments were priceless- asking what happens when there's a fire (easy - the FD dispatches from the modern station they've been in for several years). Yet they make it sound like this is now a community without any fire protection.
