Goofy shit.

Crime is a response to unmet needs in the community. If we’re not funding police departments, we'll have plenty of money to meet those needs! We don't actually have to criminalize homelessness, drug addiction, and being poor!

Someone is robbing a bank. Okay. What’s the real problem? Why are they robbing the bank? Are they hungry? Is this Ocean’s 18? Is this an addiction issue? Can we help them? Do we really think sending someone trained to easily inflict violence is the best solution?

Lol!

Hmmm...No police, no enforcement, no laws. Fun!

Does she have any power whatsoever? Did she propose this as legislation? Did it pass? Was it implemented?

If not, it's just Internet Hot Air.

6 months, and see how it goes.

Should be a fun experiment.

Just give everyone adequate warning 1st...(like in those Purge films.)

By the time they are able to respond, whatever is happening is long over. Police in rural areas just come along later and document what happened so they can file a report.

And if some guy is beating up his family, you send in a mental health person? To talk him down? Not restrain him?

There just needs to be a cleansing of police who are white nationalists, who have intentionally infiltrated so many police departments, and a cleansing of arrogant tough-guy, tough-gal authoritarian types who just like to act tough.

And what with those dangerous uniforms and such...You know - belts, flashlight, handcuffs, a zipper, pen, pockets (4!!), a WAY scary hat.

Have you ever seen a cop’s uniform? The whole thing, including every accessory, zipper, and badge, is designed to intimidate and easily inflict violence. It’s like they can’t help themselves. Their uniform makes it so easy for them to consider a violent solution.

Cat in a tree? Got locked out of your car? Kids prank called 911? Found a brutally murdered body? When called, police will arrive at all four of these scenes equally armed to the teeth. Why would we ever be okay with that? It is INSANE
.

Cat in a tree? POW POW POW - problem solved.
Car locked? SMASH! There ya go.
Prank call? ZIP! Not on my watch! (on edit better not to use your zipper around kids)
Murdered body? OOPS...have to call social services. (Or give him money to fix the problem).

Terrorist attack? Active shooters? Bomb threat? Bar fight? Kidnapping? Gang war? Mob hit? Home invasion? Arson in progress? 3am multiple car crash? Just call....Oprah?

"I suppose it is tempting, if the only tool you have is a hammer, to treat everything as if it were a nail." Do you know that saying? Apply it to police. If you’re always prepared to easily inflict violence, then the chances of inflicting unwarranted violence go way up
.

Red lights? Stop signs? Speed limits? DWI? Tail lights? Seat belts?

Laws for chumps - only meant to shame, traumatize, & embarrass you.
hate getting pulled over. It hasn’t happened that often — maybe 10 times in my 30 years of driving. But it is traumatizing every time. I know I’m not alone. These stops are universally traumatizing — even when no ticket is issued.

We can reimagine the whole thing! It was hard for me to wrap my brain around it at first, but it’s really and truly possible to imagine a society where there are no police. And it is a GLORIOUS society. We have to abandon policing.

The cops didn’t do shit. Insinuated it was my fault. It’s not just a few bad apples, it’s systematic and needs to be rebuilt from the bottom up to ensure police forces aren’t militaristic and racist.

Dems are experts at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. This is insane messaging and those who actually mean it apparently live in la-la land.
I wouldn't be surprised if those who are so gullible are getting played by the bots yet again.

is living in white-man-land. You obviously have no actual idea of how racist the police are, how long Black communities have been asking for this, how "reform" never amounts to anything, and usually just increases their budget without any accountability.
