I'm not sure Map really wants to play the game anymore. The activism thing might be more satisfying.
But, the NFL could hire him as the head of social justice outreach.
Give him a good salary & and a solid budget and let him be the face of their new commitment.
The nonsense about bottom line was silly. No NFL fan is actually going to quit watching permanently over Map, as a QB or as a spokesman.
Any pain will last a news cycle and the good will would endure.

When they thought it would be too "controversial" for a certain strain of NFL fans, they protected their pocketbooks. Now that the national zeitgeist has changed, they're moving their money to the other side. Better to focus on the efforts of individual players than the league.
