has to "earn" our vote, is no "F**KING PROGRESSIVE"
Perhaps they should listen to Noam Chomsky

(66,388 posts)Anyone still trying to convince us that Trump and Biden are the same (just as they did so successfully with Hillary Clinton) could give this guy a run for his money:

(1,206 posts)Biden doesn't have to 'earn' my vote - he's got it - but I would have preferred Warren.

(115,735 posts)but most primary voters preferred Biden. So that's where we are. Warren might be offered a position in Biden's administration or she might stay in the Senate; either way she will be an enormously valuable asset. She's not "gone," she'll just be working in some other very important capacity.

(1,206 posts)Our amazingly diverse field of original candidates from which to choose became no choice at all long before I could register my vote here in New Jersey for who 'I' preferred.
Again, I'll vote for him because I don't get caught up in purity testing and I know Elizabeth isn't 'gone'.

...were all winnowed out before we got to vote for them. I looked at candidates having chats in the living rooms of New Hampshire and thought, well that's adorable -- NH is tiny, white, and easy to get around in. California finally moved its primary election to earlier in the year, but geographically we will never be quick and easy to get around in, and chances of my shaking anyone's hand are very slim indeed. It is what it is.

(92,219 posts)Bernie Sanders recognized this danger, which is why he endorsed Biden early, not only to try and influence the party with issues he considers paramount, but more importantly to build unity among all of us, because we need that unity in November

(7,775 posts)...Facebook, Instagram and Twitter are used to shape public opinion through sophisticated AI programming by Robert Mercer and his band of RW propagandists. The same Robert Mercer who installed Trump as president.
A lot of these posts are put there by computer programs not real people.
The Russians have used this technique for psy-ops. It was very effective in the last election. Unless people understand that they are being heavily manipulated they will not see these social media platforms for what they are - herd management.

He has hitched his wagon to Trump. That much seems clear. He is betting a Trump victory will forestall efforts to reign in Facebook by congress.

(251 posts)Unlike so-called " progressives" who didn't vote for Hillary.
Even in 2016, Noam said vote for Hillary in light of a foul imp-like Trump.
Why...simply because he is a true humanitarian with compassion for human beings, unlike the ideologue progressives who I call the Taliban of American politics.
