My message on the website has said that I qualified and it would be deposited over a month now.
To be fair, I don't "need" it. However, it is mine and I do want it but this could be terrible for those that are hurting to have to wait this long.
This potus is the biggest failure in the history of this country.
Anyone else having the same issue?

(16,189 posts)We really didn't think we would see it by December if at all. Thankfully, we don't "need" it either, but what about the people who do? Just like you said...it doesn't help if the people who NEED it are not receiving the money in a timely fashion.

Yes, I have reviewed DOZENS of articles giving suggestions for others like me that the automated system won't recognize, but NADA.
I am angry but I don't want this to bring on yet another stress migraine so I'll leave it at that.

(43,890 posts)They are sending them through a 3rd party, Money Network Cardholder Services in Omaha, NE
It will be a debit card, not a check, and if you're married, the letter will be addressed to your first name followed by your spouse's last name.

(33,956 posts)The website says it will be deposited into my account...but why do that when there is money to be made off of card fees for a donor!
I wonder who owns Money Network Cardholder Services?

(43,890 posts)Took a couple of days to go through but I have the money now and can close the Cardholder Services account before they start charging fees.

(4,131 posts)It was a direct deposit into my bank account. The same way I receive my usual tax refund.

(11,495 posts)about two weeks ago, not deposited into my account, but got a check. My daughter applied about two weeks ago and just today she received a check.
This is the first time I have heard of the third party debit card thing. Maybe it has something to do with what state you live in, or maybe trump has found another way to get his share of things by doing it the debit card way.

(43,890 posts)So instead of getting a refund I've had to send them a check on April 15th.
I even had to pay a penalty this year for underpaying (A whole $7.00, oh noes!).
Maybe that's why I didn't get a direct deposit into my account.
Who knows.

He used the non-filer tool on the irs.gov website for getting the stimulus payment.
I rec'd mine abt. 6 weeks ago.
It was spent before I got it however -- heater went out and it cost me over $1,300++ to replace it. It isn't cheap to get a plumber to come to your house during a pandemic!
Oh well ...
Hopefully YOUR MONEY will arrive soon!

(589 posts)Can't log into their stupid website as my info never matches, however many permutations I try.
I don't do direct deposit with them as I have trust issues about giving them my account info. I have read that paper checks may take as long as August for some and that they were staggered based upon income. I did OK last year, not great, but that may be why it's delayed...or it may be that the only thing that actually trickles down is ineptitude and I'll NEVER see it.

(22,099 posts)Funny, the trump letter was mailed separately weeks later.
But my husband has not gotten his. The website says they mailed it last month to the Florida address he was working at in 2018 (this company moved him around all the time). Not the one he filed last year, or this year.
I talked to the IRS. They said they probably have it back by now, and its in some dark hole while they process his return for this year. That will update his address for them to mail the check out again, supposedly.
Thank gawd he's starting a new job next week, with no travel.

Priorities, right?
I hope your husband gets his soon.

(2,769 posts)I read recently that the IRS, being short-staffed, is WAY behind in processing paper returns. That's how she filed.
Perhaps that is one reason for delayed checks.
