...all focus the ongoing deadly epidemic that was supposed to have magically disappeared after 15 cases, the nationwide protests over police brutality, and Trump having gassed peaceful protesters (who his attorney deemed "terrorists" just to make way for a shameless photo op at a church who didn't even want him there.
Who am I kidding, though? He'll probably just call on OAN's Chanel Rion for an entire hour.

This might tick up his approval and tighten the race but doesn't mean we can't win.
We can't get complacent, gotta keep operating like we are down 3 at all times

Hopefully, the events from the murder George Floyd, which seem to have given rise to a new Civil Rights movements, will change that

(43,182 posts)The "re-opening" has caused many people who have been laid off or furloughed to come back onto the payroll.
However, the ongoing threat of the virus without a vaccine is going to keep consumer demand low. People aren't going to be doing a lot of traveling this summer. Demand at restaurants is still going to be low for the time being.
Some jobs coming back is a good thing, but realistically not sustainable in the short term.
And if a second wave comes around, we're right back at where we were before. Possibly worse.

And: We can no longer trust anyone in the federal government. The numbers are bigfatlies.
