12. I believe there are underground groups who come together...

and confront neo-nazis, alt-right extremists, KKKers, etc. at high-profile events. They were active at the Charlottesville nazi-fest and actually saved a group of rabbis from attack.

There is no formal organization though. I commend those who have the courage to do it. They're on our side.

The right and the trumpers constantly raise the specter of the antifa bogey man and blame them whenever right wing goons, often armed, smash, burn and cause violence—like they're doing on video after video during these daily protests.

tl;dr

Antifa has been around for a hundred years. They protest fascists and neo-Nazis. Loosely organized. A subsection of the group is not opposed to using violence which makes them unusual among modern leftist organizations.

The movement has been largely dormant for the last couple of decades but reappeared thanks to Trump. Antifa only exists as a response to fascism — if there weren’t any fascists, there wouldn’t be any Antifa.
