(5,969 posts)So I assume he was one of the three directly involved in holding Floyd down. One of those pigs besides Chauvin sat on Floyd's back which affected the ability to breathe and contributed to the murder.

(11,738 posts)He may have been on the job with that department for 4 days but likely he had come out of POST somewhere so he knew that the restraint was against police protocols.
We know that police culture can be toxic and that is the problem. All 3 of the other officers should have been telling the racist POS to knock the shit off and respect the suspect's rights. There should never have been an incident in the first place.

(54,770 posts)Considering he had been on job 4 days, he might be a good officer given a chance. A lot of military and police are taught not to question those in charge. Lanes suggestion was kind of timid, but more than a lot of new recruits would do (not talking SHOULD do).
