LOL. After publishing Tom Cotton's fascist editorial, NYT is back to concern-trolling Democrats

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/04/us/politics/joe-biden-2020-campaign-diversity.html

The "some Democrats worry" article is their new favorite mode of reporting on the Biden campaign. They actually published an article about Biden's significant polling advantage being a sign of concern for his campaign instead of Trump's!

Meanwhile, they give their editorial page over to GOP politicians like Cotton to mainstream their un-American authoritarian views.

But you know "the liberal media and all".

I guess they need some counterbalance to Trump pissing all over himself, so they have to make shit up about how Democrats are "worried".

Many (many!) years ago, MAD had an article about good news/bad news. The last one of the series was a guy reading the stock market headlines. "Good news is getting good news (Stock market up!). Bad news is getting more good news, because you figure you're due for some bad news (Stock market rally continues). So, getting bad news is good news, because now you figure you're due for some good news (Stocks tumble on poor quarterly reports). More bad news is actually really good news, because it means you're really due for good news. (Stocks still in free fall)." The last panel had the headline "Markets Crash!" "Bad news is believing in cycles."

The Times is heavily invested in the horse race, and they're just itching to haul out the "Dems in disarray!" narrative, and to pretend that all the smart political commentators would rather be in Trump's position than Biden's.
