(18,779 posts)Throughout the day community leaders have begged people to obey the curfew. People out past curfew are going to be assumed to be agitators or at the least providing cover for those who only want to destroy.
There are reports of neighborhood watches that are arming themselves. I was watching a stream of a march where the locals came out with baseball bats and tasers telling the march to go elsewhere, it was not wanted.
The people are afraid that after dark where the protest goes, arson and looting follows.

Been getting ready all day. There will be no slack tonight. Shops in the area that are still standing have been informed there will be presences near by. It has also been suggested that they remove the minority owned indications from their buildings as that may make them a target.
