I'm sorry she had to put up with him for ten years, but she sounds like a good person whose sympathies are with the right people. And this is her chance to get away from him.

Sure, what he now did is horrific. But, if things were rosy, she'd likely be more grieving over the turn of events, not jumping immediately to "I'm out".
The situation likely needed one more straw, and he put a container ship on the camel's back.

She thinks that now that he is in jail, she finally feels safe enough to leave and he won't chase her down. And wanted to be out for years, but could not leave out of fear.
Sounds plausible to me.

Hard not to make some premature assumptions about that marriage and what he might have been like as a husband.

I do hope she and her family is left alone.

If I were her, I'd be doing everything I could to protect some of the assets (does she have children, too)?

I mean, it might be that she really wants a divorce. I don't pretend to know. But in her situation, I'd be working with a lawyer to see that the assets were protected.

With George Floyd on the ground pleading for his life, he had his hand in his pocket with his knee on his neck, looking at the crowd to let them know just how few fucks he gave about George Floyd's pleas for mercy or theirs.

I also don't understand how those other cops stood around and watched. And why aren't they in jail also? This episode was systemic racism on full display.
