Am I the only person who wishes Microsoft would bring back Microsoft Money? I used the program when it was put out by Microsoft and I wish I could still use the program. I know I could likely get the same things from QuickBooks, but I would really like it if Microsoft would bring back Microsoft Money.

(38,187 posts)I miss Windows Movie Maker, their solitaire games, Pinball, and numerous other things that used to be included with other versions of Windows. I used to have Microsoft Money on an older phone. I miss it too.

(4,834 posts)I started to convert to a newer version (I think it was 2006) but realized I would have to relearn the entire thing and transfer all the accounts etc to it. Decided to lose the on line updating of market prices and stick with what I know. It has worked flawlessly and has all my history for years so I can compare different years expenses etc. It transfers to newer computers without a hitch so far.

(3,818 posts)the program? I've been stuck using Quicken since then. I use the program and generally have to buy a new version of Quicken if I get a new laptop. Knock on plastic it's been 2016 since I've had to upgrade but I feel it won't be long now before I'll have to upgrade.
How in the world have you been able to migrate Money? I'm jealous as all heck

(15,812 posts)I have the 2017 version which is the last one. Now you have to use an online version and pay a yearly fee (or monthly?). Nope.
I can no longer upload transactions but Im fine with that.

(4,834 posts)See below...someone says you can download it from Microsoft.
I could see if the disk would copy to Google drive...wonder what kind of problems that would present. If they don't support it, I don't see how they could complain about passing it on for free.

No support, no new features, but it does work.

(58,709 posts)I track all my financials on a spreadsheet that I created, using a free on-line office program.
Started out pretty simple, and has grown into a bigger more complete picture. Entries are simple and it tracks pretty well, if I do say so myself. I used Quicken for a few years, but what matters is entering the data, not the package.
