Is anyone really offended? I used to be blonde, and I didn't mind people using the term "dumb blonde".

I think the decent Karens and Beckys don't really care too much, but should all Debbies be worried about being downers?

are probably the ones for whom the shoe is a little loose, but fits reasonably well.

Offended or aggravated that anyone who heard your name would think you might be a nazi? Just curious, because very few parents name their child "Dick" any more.

It's not about the name or shaming women with the name Karen. It's a meme, it was a chosen term for a particular behavior so that it's commonly understood with one word instead of having to repeat a detailed description again and again.

Like I said, I doubt anyone uses the name Dick any more. We all know that people named Dick aren't necessarily jerks, but the association forms. No one should have toss out a lovely, or strong, or meaningful name for their baby because the name was conscripted for something ugly.

Maybe you didn't see it. INSTEAD of saying Becky or Karen, I will say DRMTWW. And of course, when someone asks what it means, I will explain.

Dangerous, racist, manipulative, twisted white woman.

Dangerous because they have the power of being white women to be believed as being in danger.

Racist because they only do it to black men.

Manipulative, because they are playing on a white man's training to protect them from black men.

Twisted, doing it because they know they can get away with it.

White women - ONLY white women can get away with this shit.

I know some older women named Karen. Two in my volunteer group (retired, mid-late 60s, kindhearted). They've made it clear they are offended by it. My question is why wouldn't someone be offended by having their name tied to hatefulness, irrational priviledge, etc?

But it needs to be something not associated with a name. Women will say "I'm Offended". And "what's the name for racist men" and "why are you singling out women" and "you're being sexist".

This is behavior that ONLY white women can do. White men simply kill. White women get black men killed and feel no guilt because they didn't do the killing themselves.

I think just use a small k. Same as with calling a guy a dick. Some karens might be named Karen, but not all Karens are a karen.
