1. George Floyd was handcuffed

The cop kneeled on his neck for 7 minutes.

Did you see his expression-- bored, annoyed, cynical. Annoyed with the people around yelling, "You're killing him!"

The other police officers-- did not one of them even say, "Hey, let's get going. You got him. Let's take him to the station."
They stood there holding off the citizens for 7 minutes to give their coworker time to kill him?

Sebastian County, Arkansas — Newly released dash cam and body camera footage from Sebastian County Sheriff's Office shows a Fort Smith woman being arrested after she hit multiple law enforcement vehicles and flashed a gun at a Sebastian County deputy during a pursuit. The driver, Jennifer K. Porter, 27, was arrested on suspicion of eight counts of felony aggravated assault, fleeing and felon in possession of a firearm. A vehicle and pistol were reported stolen Tuesday, May 5, around 10:30 a.m. in the 17000 block of Highway 45 near Hackett around 10:30, according to a press release. The car was spotted at 11:15 a.m. on Highway 71 South near Greenwood speeding around 100 mph.

During this time, Porter rammed at least four law enforcement vehicles including one she disabled during a pursuit in a stolen pickup truck and also attempted to ram an innocent vehicle which just happened to be on the road. The pursuit continued on multiple county roads and state highways. Arkansas State Police were able to catch to the vehicle on Highway 71 South just north of the Jenny Lind community. Altogether, one Sebastian County Sheriff's Office patrol unit was disabled and three ASP units also suffered damage because of the chase. No one was hurt during the chase or PIT maneuvers.

5. Do law enforcement vehicles have air bags?

I would think that if this sheriff's department SUV had air bags installed, that collision would have set them off. So I am guessing that they don't have air bags in their vehicles, or they disable them if they're already installed, because air bag deployment could sometimes interfere with law enforcement activities.

I can't watch the other video. I saw a heartbeat of it, and it's seared in my brain.

Both are totally different from being handcuffed and asphyxiated.

8. "Suspected of forgery" at a local restaurant. What does that mean? Trying to pass a bad check?

They murdered him for that? The police stated Floyd "resisted arrest," that he was under the influence, experiencing some kind of "medical distress" and they "called for an ambulance" before they pinned him to the ground and killed him. They'll probably claim Floyd died of "excited delirium," or "agitated delirium," not from having a large cop kneeling on his neck for seven minutes.

10. I read somewhere that it was a $20 bill (can't remember where).

If so, why was he suspected of forgery? If I came across fake currency, I most likely picked it up during some sort of commercial transaction, in a store or restaurant. I sure as hell wouldn't know if I had a fake twenty.

9. Perhaps the way to deal with this problem is to publicize these events.

Show the disparity between the way blacks and whites are treated by law enforcement in otherwise similar or identical circumstances. Show that law enforcement generally is much more trigger-happy when dealing with blacks, much less trigger-happy when dealing with whites. Make the public aware of that stark contrast by constantly holding up examples of it in the light of public scrutiny. Every time a George Floyd or a Trayvon Martin or an Eric Garner happens, don't show that alone to the public, but alongside it, also show another incident like the one shown here. That would delegitimize officers' protests that "he had a gun" or "I felt threatened" or whatever. It would make it more difficult for law enforcement to get away with those kinds of excuses and rationalizations.
