but she is a total piece of work.
First, she is one of the authors of the bill which banned abortions and required ectopic pregnancies to be implanted in uteri (no that isn't a real medical procedure). Then after Dayton, which is right by her district, was the site of a mass shooting, she posted on Facebook that gays were to blame. Oh and abortion and transgender. Well she is back and really has to be read to be believed.
The following is from her face book page.
Today as I walked into the Statehouse from the parking garage, a security person came at me with a thermometer. I ignored him like always and kept walking. He kept saying, Maam, maam, I have to take your temperature. I said, No, youre not taking my temperature.
He followed me to the elevator! He got closer and stood there like he was going to force me. He kept holding the thermometer up in front of me. I turned around and pointed my finger at him and I said, Youre not taking my temperature! He said, I have to take your temperature. I said, You are not taking my temperature. He stepped forward with the thermometer and I pointed at him and said, You had better not take my temperature. Youve been warned. He said, I work for the Speaker. I said, Ive already told the Speaker that no one takes my temperature.
Im sure all of this is on video. This is the first time I have been treated like this but I have been expecting it. Im not even going to go into the fact the fever comes days after you contract the virus. Or that this person is neither a doctor nor nurse.
He turned and left. Do you think if I werent a State Rep that he would have forced me? How is this any way to be treated? Im not sick. Ive not been sick in years. Not that its anyones business.
The Speakers office called me shortly thereafter to assure me that this would not happen to me again.
The reason Ive had to put up with so much opposition over the last 4 years as a Representative is that NO ONE GETS TO CONTROL ME. I mean, NO ONE. I have civil rights and I have a right to privacy.
I was hustling into the building after a 2-hour drive from Butler County to conduct an interested parties meeting on a campus free-speech bill. I am the Chairwoman of Higher Education in the 7th largest state in the nation. I am one of 99 Representatives in a state with 11.7M people. I represent 115,000 citizens. I was doing my job and I give EVERY task all of my energy.
I stayed mad about this incident for hours, almost to the point of distraction. I dont care if you want every person you meet to take your own temperature. It doesnt matter to me. For me, I find this practice highly personal and offensive. The second you try to violate my privacy, I will call you out on it. I dont care who you are.
Its time to stand up. We didnt pass the most sweeping prolife bill in the nation by allowing bullies to sideline us. We drew a line in the sand and annoyed everyone around us until they passed the Heartbeat Bill last year just to get us to shut up. We got what we wanted. Those who fought us hardest either resigned in disgrace like Rosenberger, or will soon be termed out like Kasich. Not me. I dont quit until I win. I dont quit period.
Tenacity and rugged individualism is about as American as it gets. Im not a bully but I seem to have been surrounded by them since I ran for public office in 2016. Too bad. I ignore bullies and I always have.
I dont back down. You shouldnt either. Ridiculous.
end of quote. she really is a total piece of work.

(37,160 posts)You threw your weight around, and a guy just trying to do his job and help prevent the virus spreading backed down. Yay you, patriotic superhero .
And "forced" how? Was he going to stick something in your mouth, or did he just need to point it at your forehead?
Now, if you were black...

Keller is even crazy enough to use the "my body, my choice" rhetoric responding to one Facebook critic, when you know she doesn't want that option for other women.
