A day of remembrance, anger, and sadness. A FBF and a someone I've know for more than sixty years

posted photos of kids we grew up with who were killed in Vietnam. The poster is a Marine combat veteran who is now suffering the effects of agent orange exposure. To a person those who were lost believed they were doing what was right and their country needed them. They were some of the best and brightest of us. Seeing their young faces and and knowing their dreams were never realized breaks my heart.

My heart breaks as well.

So much needless sacrifice from those who should have lived and contributed to the well-being of our society!

Can anybody name a war since 1945 that was worth the cost in blood and treasure.

But my dad fought in Korea. Never talked about it. Details anyway.

He lived to see them become a democracy and thought it was something worth fighting for.

One long ago deceased man’s perspective.

Other than that I totally agree.
