50% of Fox News Viewers believe Bill Gates is trying to microchip them.

https://news.yahoo.com/new-yahoo-news-you-gov-poll-shows-coronavirus-conspiracy-theories-spreading-on-the-right-may-hamper-vaccine-efforts-152843610.html

Take the Gates example. Half of all Americans (50 percent) who name Fox News as their primary television news source believe the disproven conspiracy theory, and 44 percent of voters who cast ballots for Trump in 2016 do as well — even though neither Fox nor Trump has promoted it. At the same time, just 15 percent of MSNBC viewers and 12 percent of Clinton voters say the story is true.

A majority of Fox News viewers (53 percent), along with nearly half of Trump voters (49 percent) and Republicans (44 percent), think the antimalarial drug is an effective treatment against COVID-19 — even though study after study has not proved that to be true. In fact, a new study of 96,000 hospitalized coronavirus patients on six continents found that those who received the drug had a significantly higher risk of death compared with those who did not.

and

Nearly half of Republicans see truth in 'Pizzagate' theory: Poll

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/dec/28/pizzagate-theory-believed-by-nearly-half-of-republ/

Nearly half of registered Republicans believe Hillary Clinton’s failed presidential campaign is implicated in a satanic child abuse ring operated from beneath a Washington, D.C., pizzeria, according to the results of a new poll released this week.

QUESTION: Could There be some genetic defect that makes some believe stupid conspiracy theories like the ones above?

or

Are these people just really f***in stupid and gullible?

Thx in advance

what, exactly, is he going to do with 300 million microchipped people? Is this just a way to help our owners find us if we sneak out an open door and hide under a neighbor's porch? Or is it something more diabolical, like using the microchip to send messages to our brains that compel us to immediately download the newest version of Office?

Treatment not cure mind you.

Now, about MS Office....his first master plan for world domination was “Clippy”. Remember the paperclip? That failed and poor Bill retreated to his lair stewing about it for years.

And other things. It will be voluntary until it become a pain not to have it. I think everyone realizes we’re heading that way eventually. Now bill gates having anything to do with it is doubtful.

The result, in many cases, is two different sets of “facts” — only one of which resembles the truth.

We may think it’s all Fox to the fringe elements like Q and Alex Jones but repetition from talk radio and Facebook weighs more heavily than we may think.

At this point we (DU etc) know the Bill Gates thing is ridiculous BUT it’s in our minds. We may make jokes about it but any mention of his name will click some small memory in our brains. Even if, as this article asserts, Fox hasn’t “covered it” mentioning him is received as a wink wink from their believers.
