I have had MSNBC on since 8 am CDT. There have been no updates on the number of deaths. What gives? No mention by Anchor hosts as well.
Is the CDC and Johns Hopkins been ordered NOT to release that data?
I heard that over 94,000 have lost their lives.

125,000 by mid June
150,000 by mid July

(82,849 posts)I don't think that's the reason behind the delay to the update, I'm just noting the juxtaposition of the two events. For now. I know the Trump administration never misses a chance to be petty and spiteful, stubborn and snide. So the two events could be related.

(4,306 posts)I just went and checked right this minute, after reading your post. I have noticed the Johns Hopkins website had a lower count than some others for a few days. I bookmarked this site from Democratic Underground on March 22nd, and I have been checking it every day. I am going to bookmark this one now, so I can get to the Worldometer. This discrepancy is unsettling, although of course there may be a perfectly valid explanation.

That makes me worry that the second wave here in the U.S. is going to be really bad when it arrives in the later part of this year.

(23,121 posts)It's still showing on WaPo and NYT and on the Coronavirus tracker I found. The numbers are bogus because Florida's is 2000 less than yesterday, but they are being shown elsewhere.
