Sister of Ahmaud Arbery's alleged killer posted picture of his body to Snapchat

The sister of the man charged with gunning down Ahmaud Arbery said she posted pictures of the unarmed black jogger’s dead body online because she is “a true-crime fan,” according to a new report.

Lindsay McMichael, 30, admitted posting an unedited image of a blood-soaked Arbery lying on the street in Brunswick, Georgia, on Snapchat, but said she meant no harm, the Sun reported Monday.

“I had no nefarious or malicious intent when I posted that picture,” she told the outlet. “The thing is I’m a huge fan of true crime — I listen to four or five podcasts a week — I’m constantly watching that sort of thing.”

“It was more of a, ‘Holy s–t, I can’t believe this has happened,'” she added. “It was absolutely poor judgment.”

However, a lawyer for Arbery’s family called the image “deeply disturbing.”

“The picture Lindsay McMichael posted was very disturbing and very disturbing to the family,” attorney S. Lee Merritt told the Sun. “It actually fits the pattern of the McMichael family engaging in a weird, violent form of voyeurism.”

I didn't want to look too closely at the pics and didn't see info for when it was posted: Close to the time of the murder which might indicate some sick joy/pride about their lynching or much later when it had already made nation-wide news.
That whole family seems sick either way. A man was killed and all she says is Oopsie, poor judgment, tehehe. I didn't see an apology or any kind of sympathy for the victim or his family.

Regarding the article, I was a bit disgusted about the framing of this story. It talks about an alleged killer when it's on video but apparently it's not alleged that the victim was “poking around a construction site“. The bias is showing.

There is nothing alleged about the killing. The killer admits that he killed Mr. Arbery. The only time that alleged applies is in the murder charge. Not in my mind, but officially, he is not called a murderer until convicted in a trial. Meantime, itvis totally legitimate to call him a killer, without qualifiers like alleged.

I remember Joe Madison (The Black Eagle) being sued for calling someone a murderer before the person was convicted of murder.

Technlcally, or officially, someone is not a murderer unless convicted in a trial. But I was pointing out that there is a difference between the words killer and murderer. If you kill someone in self defense, you are the killer of that person, but not a murderer.

The article referred to the "alleged killer." But, he is not an alleged killer. There is no doubt that he killed Arbery since he freely and openly says he did and his companions corroborate that statement. So the killing is not alleged but a fact. The only thing alleged about the killing is whether it was murder.

Alleged murderer in this case is correct terminology, but alleged killer is not.

I personally believe that it was murder. But that is for a court trial and jury to decide.

She needs to think about that. I despise assholes who take pleasure in hate crimes then go brag about it after the fact. I hate it when their family members go bragging about it after the fact too. How transparent. They should be charged with a fucking hate crime for killing him and she should be charged with something. I don't know what, but something. Whatever she posted should be allowed to be used as part of the trial of the ones who killed him too, to further prove how they think of a human being they just killed.

It's sick, outlandish, and very hurtful to the family and I don't believe for a second that this wasn't done maliciously, but what crime can she be charged with?
