do you also object to Volkswagen, BMW, Sony and Toyota making some of their products here and hiring US workers?

Manufacturing jobs would still exist in America as opposed to the 32% decrease American Manufacturing jobs have experienced from 2000 to 2009

a question. Which is still unanswered. BTW, The answer should include how many jobs would exist if we didn't export (the flip side of free trade.)

And here's another question-- how many manufacturing jobs were eliminated due simply to automation and increased efficiency in manufacturing and not to outsourcing?

There are more questions lurking about-- this is a complicated subject with no easy answers.

You might consider reading today's NY Times-- manufacturing jobs in the US are increasing for a number of reasons.
