Coronavirus updates: Texas reports single highest daily rate increase of infections

The novel coronavirus pandemic has now killed more than 311,000 people worldwide.

More than 4.6 million people across the globe have been diagnosed with COVID-19, the disease caused by the new respiratory virus, according to data compiled by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. The actual numbers are believed to be much higher due to testing shortages, many unreported cases and suspicions that some governments are hiding the scope of their nations' outbreaks.

The United States is the worst-affected country, with more than 1.4 million diagnosed cases and at least 88,898 deaths.

US death toll surpasses 88,000

I didn't think Texas had any hospitals in the rural areas, maybe they should rethink their devotion to the Republican party.

One of them was funded by a local doctor (from what I can tell a decent person.) and other nasty local racist white misogynistic business men to keep it open otherwise no new businesses would come to this town. One county has 3 cases (all recovered) and the other has 8 (2 that I know of have recovered.) cases. So for one of these counties greed worked to help all us all.
Texas has 254 counties and there are four with no cases reported. Edited to add that the population of one county is about 3K and the other is 22K.
