"Imagine being Bill Gates right now....

You spend 30 years of your life and $50 billion of your own dollars supporting humanitarian causes. You directly save hundreds of thousands of lives in South East Asia by providing anti malaria netting to half of a continent, you drop infant mortality rates throughout the entire developing world by funding vaccine programs including vaccinating 40,000,000 children for polio, and, amongst a plethora of philanthropic endeavors, you fund free educational platforms like Khan Academy so people can have free access to high quality education.

Then after donating half of your wealth to charity and pledging 90% of the remainder to charity in your will..

Arguably doing more to better life on earth for humanity than any other human being to ever live.

You then hop on the internet only to find a million scientifically illiterate fucking imbeciles that are using the very computers you pretty much invented in the first place to call you a child murdering arch villian antichrist because they watched a YouTube video made by some other yokel with the comprehension of a fucking potato."

I sympathize with the sentiment of the post overall, but this guy clearly doesn't understand what bill gates and microsoft did.

He was an innovator, not an inventor.
His business was software, not computers.
And pretty much everything of consequence microsoft is known for was created by other people at other companies. What bill gates did was leverage an operating system monopoly to make it impossible for other software companies to compete, so all the features and key applications wound up getting folded into Microsoft products while the people who created them were either put out of business or bought out at a fraction of their value.

He didn't invent the microcomputer, dos, windows-oriented operating systems, word editors, spreadsheets, email, project management software, pc databases, none of the things Microsoft is known for were invented at Microsoft.

and not "underground" so it can be exposed and at least scrutinized.

We're dealing with people that have no critical thinking skills and live for conspiracy theories. Since they can't blame dt (because many of these people are MAGA's), they've made Bill Gates the Anti-Christ. It's shocking that they dismiss all of the atrocities the dt has committed and have come up with this absurd, absolutely mind boggling theory about Gates. Once again, uneducated people with absolutely NO critical thinking abilities...

Is supporting liberal causes. The attacks are fabricated and customized to the man.

I bet that he does't let the haters get under his skin.

They rank pretty high on the list for being demonized for doing good work through the Clinton Foundation.

Same bunch of screaming yokels so it is not hard to see how quickly they transferred their disdain and anger.
