At 1,200 deaths per day in the US, we'll hit 12,000 in 10 days (100,000 total deaths) May 25th (a week before June 1st).

88,410 Americans have died according to the link above.

The US has been below 1,000 deaths in a day once since March.

(100,000-88410)/16 days left in May = 725 per day will get it above 100,000 before the end of May.

Some feel that after opening up, they'll hit 3,000+ per day - they could add another 100,000 in June. If they do that, Trump will not only have killed thousands of Americans - he will have killed what is left of his term's economy and his election aspirations along with it.

...I don’t know if it is just me, but I get so angry about this whole thing, the needless deaths, the lies.... I recently loss a friend because she is parroting Trump that the virus will go away soon and it is not that serious, just something like the flue. And the final straw...we should just trust in him....

I’m tired... Been following this since the beginning (same site as you do...) and I thought it was really bad when China had the worse counts, who could have believed that our government would do nothing because we have a fool at the helm. You would have thoughts that there would have been some serious people at the top that would have resigned to make a statement of concern.

Oh, the math tells me that we are averaging between 1400 - 2100 per day, last couple of days it has been 1700 per day. 100,000 is a sure thing before the end of the moth.

It is too distressing - people being killed needlessly.

And that number is the bogus 'official' number. It is considerably higher than that. But it is not important enough for America to know that before the election - according to Trump.

Doubling that figure is inevitable. With opening up too early, they'll quadruple it or worse.

The other thing the Italian and other doctors have tried to tell us: for every dead person, there are a number disabled from strokes, brain damage or organ damage - including young people. That will be a burden on the other family members.

So Trump's mismanagement of this is detrimentally affecting seven figures of Americans.
We cannot seem to do anything to stop him. Those in a position to won't.
It makes me ill to think about it.

the total "deaths per day" has been well OVER 1,000 a day since March 28. It is usually between 1,000 and 3,000 per day since that time. That is A LOT!

if current death rates hold. We were at 80,000 last weekend, and will likely be at 90,000 by tomorrow evening, at the current rate, and possibly by 100,000 by Memorial Day. I hope I'm wrong.
