Is trump karma? During this self-isolation period one has a lot of time to think...

and it just occurred to me, we've imposed our imperialism on much...
of the western hemisphere (that whole Monroe Doctrine thing, not to mention our treatment of Native Americans, African Americans, POCs), on the Kingdom of Hawaii and south east Asia, installing puppet governments beholden to us and then systematically exploiting our conquests of their natural resources for the enrichment of our corporations.

We've done it for so long, since the 19th century at least, that it's second nature for us to meddle and impose our will on other nations by clandestinely spreading money around buying people, interfering with elections, staging coups, occupations, invasions etc. Hell, we know our hands are all over the recent coup attempt in Venezuela—up to our old tricks with Guaido, we just haven't been as successful at it since Vietnam, Iraq, Iran and on and on. Hey, we're really racking up quite a string of losses there.

So back to the earlier point. Is trump karma for our dirty deeds over many, many decades? Makes one wonder. You can't forever screw over people, or countries for that matter, for forever without push back finally coming your way. Has money been spread around among the repugs here? Has trump been installed after our election was meddled with? Has Putin played the role on us we usually do on third world countries?

Did Hillary foresee it when she called trump a puppet? Makes me shudder to think about it.

this very thing!

Truly American history is one blasphemy on top of another - as we pat ourselves on our backs. You've read Zinn, A People's History? Exceptional - bullshit!

This thread, from KKK to John Birch, has been alive and well since our founding - our "discovery" - the slaughter of the indigenous!

Are we also a place of heroes? Indeed!

Like humanity itself, America is full of amazing good, but also dark cruelty and narcissism. Drumpf is certainly the apex of all the worst. And he didn't get there without help from the darkest recesses.
