Speaking from experience; We as nation better start paying attention to Trumps mental illness.

Last edited Wed May 13, 2020, 03:10 PM - Edit history (2)

I have worked with the mentally ill for many years. I know what happens when a mentally ill person is confronted, cornered by a reality they cannot handle. They lash out with uncontrolled anger. They lose complete self control and can harm themselves and those around them. I have witnessed this scores of times. It is scary. I have been hit, pushed, had objects thrown at me. Most of the time it is uncontrolled yelling and screaming. We know Trump does that.

Trump has been mentally ill for a very long time. His mental illness, his reality is being challenged like never before. He is cornered and desperate. Over the past couple of months his delusions have increased, very dangerous delusions. People are dismissing this as Trump just lying like he always does. That is not the case.

Trump is still lying like he always does, but now he is making statements, doing things that are delusional. Trump was not lying when he talked about disinfectant, he believed it. From the very beginning of the pandemic, Trump has believed it will just go away, that's delusion. He tried to cover up a pandemic, that's delusion. Now Trump is so desperate he is trying to hide the death toll numbers, That's delusion.

I believe Trumps mental illness is going to become worse over the next six months. We are in great danger and the American people and press better start taking it seriously, instead of just saying that's just Trump lying again.

When Trump is confronted with the reality he is going to lose the election, I have no idea how badly he is going to react. He may not be able to handle it mentally. He could snap uncontrollably.

I am also a mental health professional, and everything on this post is absolutely correct. I think everything Trump perceives is filtered through the lens of either his grandiose delusions or his paranoid delusions. His weak ego cannot tolerate any criticism or opposition, so it attacks what seems like an enemy. I also think, as do you, that he does not lie so much as believe his delusions. The truth is not acceptable because it challenges his weak ego and is seen as a threat. He is becoming increasingly unstable and dangerous as the pressure mounts and his failures become more obvious. The fact that the personal selfishness and ambition of Republican politicians and lackeys is more important than preventing the US from being ravished under a very sick and unstable man is appalling.

I worked with a guy who punched little holes in his bedroom walls and then put his cigarette butts in the holes. One day I was working with him and he took an electric alarm clock and ran it under the kitchen faucet to clean it. As he was doing this he grabbed the cord and attempted to plug it in. I yelled and ran at him, ready to tackle him if necessary. Luckily he stopped, then he preceded to start screaming and yelling at me. GET OUT! GET OUT!

So yes, I have a lot of experience working with the mentally ill.

That a mentally ill person can be supported and defended by so many people who clearly seem to be sane. This speaks to a far bigger problem that we as a society must confront. How on earth can seemingly sane people enable such madness?

I have had death threats, chairs, objects in the classroom thrown at me. I have been hit, bit, kicked because the students do not get what they want when they want it. One child was on the roof of his house when the bus came and just jumped off like it was nothing
These are 11 and 12 year old children.

Trump was probably this way as a child and no one did anything about it. I believe that is why they sent him away.

He has caused the deaths of tens of thousands of Americans simply because he cannot deal with reality. His insanity has been played out in public, with corporate media treating it all like he was a rational actor, and the people who could stop it have been totally silent.

Throughout Trump has shown not the slightest remorse for his actions, he just doubles down on his lunacy, places blame elsewhere, accuses others of conspiring against him, lies, lies some more and lashes out at those who question him. He hasn't exhibited the least bit of genuine empathy or concern for the deaths of 83,000 people. The man is a horror.

We don't have to look six months into the future to figure out how Trump will respond to a personal crisis like losing an election. He will likely go completely off the rails. He will probably try to do as much damage as possible. It won't be pretty.

McConnell is trying to stuff the rest of the courts as fast as he can - in the middle of a massive failure to govern.

The danger will happen LONG before November ever gets here. If the SCOTUS decision opens his financials to any kind of public view Trump will go WAY over the edge. Those are far more dangerous to him than Impeachment was. The record of all his illegal fiddling contains information his base and his GOP enablers will not be able to tolerate. It could illuminate his relationship to Putin and the Russian Mafia in ways Justice Roberts could not defend nor McConnell explain away.

Some people stay up all night, become socially withdrawn, and lose their appetites. Others hear voices, experience excessive anger, and become overtly hostile. Still others increase their use of alcohol and drugs. Reports from family members and friends suggest that the behavioral warning signs, also known as prodromal symptoms, are consistent across decompensation episodes and that decompensating people are often unaware of their unusual behavior or that they are heading for a hospitalization (6,7).

He won’t accept it, he won’t congratulate Biden, count on it. He’ll call the election crooked and fake. He will throw a tantrum like the man baby he is. Anything is possible with this mentally ill autocratic sociopath.

My guess is he will be removed forcefully by law enforcement and/or the military.
