"I don't hate Donald," Stern said. "I hate you for voting for him, for not having intelligence."

Howard Stern says he and President Trump are both showmen who love a good time — and they both hate Trump supporters.

“One thing Donald loves is celebrities, he loves the famous,” Stern said on his SiriusXM show Tuesday. “He loves it. He loves to be in the mix.”

Stern, 66, hosted Trump on his radio show several times over the years and frequently saw him at social events, including the shock jock’s 2008 wedding, where he seated the then-future president next to Joan Rivers. According to Stern, Trump went anywhere famous people would be and is suffering now that Hollywood has turned its back on him. He likened the president’s predicament to an episode of “The Twilight Zone.”

“The oddity in all of this is the people Trump despises most, love him the most,” Stern said. “The people who are voting for Trump for the most part... he wouldn’t even let them in a f---ing hotel. He’d be disgusted by them. Go to Mar-a-Lago, see if there’s any people who look like you. I’m talking to you in the audience.”

4. Stern is one of the most rational analysts of celebrity and people in media.

That's why his interviews are so great is he really sees behind the facade and knows these people to their core.

Of course that ability all came from him being somewhat of a monster himself and looking at his own behavior and self during decades of therapy, but the dude understands celebrities better than anyone.

"How do you go bankrupt selling red meat to America?" He said the Con just laughed and shrugged it off.

I'll tell you how. The same way you go bankrupt with a string of casinos: you're either incompetent, corrupt, or both.

takeover and bust out, but they likely would have kept a cash cow like a casino running.

He's been critical in the past, but always wavered enough to leave some wiggle room. Stern is very loyal to "friends of the show."

But he's very clear now that Trump shouldn't be running a hot dog stand much less a country. Howard Stern's viewers worship him like he's a deity, what he says matters. His listeners are made up of a lot of Trump voters, Stern's words can sway thousands of them.

Both have hard core dedicated followers, but a person can't be both now. This will be an interesting dynamic because you KNOW Trump is aware of what Howard is saying. Trump LOVED Howard and may actually still listen to the show for all we know. This has to KILL Trump that Howard has turned so venomously against him.

You’re not always gonna get good cards, you have to know how to win with the worst cards.

The people who earn extra money with their sh*t hands are usually the winners in the long run.

Trump turned the people he hates into those who love him.

But he isn’t different/superior, he’s just different/first. He thinks that same strategy works in 2020 as it did in 2016. And he’s stupidly correct.

In 2020, Some Republicans (Democratic opponents) will now “love” Democrats I’m this context. He gave Democrats the “good cards”—the few Republicans with a backbone left. Few. He’s transformed Democrat haters into Democrat supporters. And registered Republicans don’t have to love Democrats, just vote for them.

Then Trump won't mind going to prison, because so many celebrities have also done that.

This is going to hurt. Trump will hear this, he was on Stern's show all the time, and really wanted his endorsement. A non-insignificant part of Trump's base are Stern listeners, and Trump used to listen all the time, when he wasn't on the show he was calling in (who knows if he still listens, although it wouldn't surprise me). In some ways, Stern is partly responsible for Trump's popularity. This will get to Trump, BIG TIME. Stern has been on fire about Trump lately and may get through to some of Trump's supporters. Trump will hear about this and it will wound him deeply. Trump vs. Stern is an interesting dynamic in all of this. Stern moves needles.
