The later votes that wont be counted until the end of the week will break heavily towards Smith. Lots of votes were sent in today that wont be touched till close to Friday.

I have to think COVID-19 came into play, as Dems are more likely to attempt to stay safe (not go vote and instead self-isolate) than Rethugs are, plus the Rethugs are all running riot over Newsom's lockdowns.
