COLUMBIA — All South Carolina voters will be able to request a mail-in absentee ballot for the upcoming June 9 primaries due to the coronavirus pandemic after state lawmakers approved a short-term bill Tuesday that added the ongoing state of emergency as a legal justification.

The unexpected move came just hours after a state Supreme Court hearing over the same issue, as South Carolina Democrats argued that the state’s limited absentee voting law would force many voters to risk their health in order to vote next month.

3. Receiving request forms in the mail is good, but here in New Mexico the state is mailing actual

ballots to all voters registered to one of the two major parties. How cool izzat?
note: Yes, elections have consequences and we elected Democrats!

7. Not correct. Those registered voters of 3 qualifying parties ...

... Democracts, Republicans and Libertarians are only getting APPLICATIONS (request forms) for an Absentee Ballot. Then County Clerks upon receiving said Applications, if qualified as eligible voters, will mail said voters an Absentee Ballot. On April 14, 2020, the NM Supreme Court DENIED what might have been an all mail voting for its primary in June.

9. No worries. You're right - the automatic application is STILL a big help ...

... and NM does NOT REQUIRE A SPECIFIC REASON/EXCUSE to get an Absentee Ballot. Hope TONS of DEMOCRATS get those Absentee Ballots actually voted and mailed back in. As I know it, in NM it's really not about Presidential race, but lots and lots of down ballot races need Dems!!!!

You have to mail in the application for the absentee ballot but we now have no reason mail in.(You can get on the permanent absentee voting list) Also you can now register to vote & vote on Election Day. I saw where other red states are moving to mail in ballots. They are ignoring trump & repub think tanks pushing no to mail in voting. No matter what, we have to have the election,

number of Republicans have and will continue to oppose absentee voting.
Not because of some bullshit fraud claim but because they know that if more people could more easily vote that the Republicans would likely have lost far more of the elections over the past 40+ years than they have won.

The virus worry makes it easier for republicans to allow MORE mail-in voting, yet at the same time seal the deal for the turd. Republicans ACT concerned for the integrity of the political process, while simultaneously guaranteeing HE wins.

WHY would they want MORE people to vote? They know they lose when more people vote...
