Making a statement that we no longer need the SC? If the president is KING his (her) decision would be final? Why in the world would they decide it for tRUMP at this stage of the game?

The question is whether the law requires him to provide his tax returns. I think the law should, but Im not sure it does. Plus, I dont think his tax returns will do us much good at this point, other than show he doesnt make as much as he claims. We already know that.

(12,861 posts)Precedent will be set only for Republicans. SCOTUS ruled against Clinton, but rules for Drumpt. It's Bush V. Gore playing out again. Rules are different for Dems.

(7,538 posts)Roberts know this...such a ruling would diminish the Court's power and ability to remain independent from the Executive. If the President can defy a Congressional subpeona, he can also defy a Judicial request or order.

It does the Nation no good to enforce a law AFTER the Administration is over.
