(11,804 posts)Please refer to guidebook #36J "How to have an Opinion" for further information.
Seriously though - when you say Without Question that's a pretty strong statement, and without evidence it is a pretty tenuous. While it is possible that this is a Rovian dirty trick, there are plenty of other explanations as well.

(1,277 posts)Could be Mossad operatives in the US. Obviously the current Israeli govt. does not like Obama and would love nothing more than to see him defeated and some whackadoodle PNACer come back into power.
Could also be nothing.

(9,974 posts)Thought about it at the time..living in TX, it was nice to see us mentioned at the DEM convention and NOT JUST the repukes staking claim to us.
Rmoney camp may be a little worried about TX? Just say that because both he and his wife are spending time here this week (her at a fund raiser at W's place and him at some other gathering).

(6,160 posts)My friend said to me: "It's Al Queda because we don't have a President anyone is afraid of.
I said: "Really, where is Osama Bin Laden?"
My friend said: "Dead thanks to Bush."
I said: "Bush said he didn't care where Bin Laden was, the jackass."
This is how right wing idiots like to push our buttons.

(2,715 posts)If the USA is box of rocks dumb enough to elect Romney, I'm leaving.
It'll take about 8 years to get everything together, but I'm figuring any country dumb enough to vote for Romney is broken beyond repair.

(67,112 posts)close race in itself is quite concerning. What also concerns me is some intelligent republican friends (at least at one time I thought they were intelligent) have sent to me RW crap saying only Romney/Ryan can financially save the US. To say the least I was quite shocked they were falling for the Ryan crap that he's some kind of financial wizard and only he can save the US.
I really do think about half of the US is as dumb as a bag of rocks.

(9,974 posts)My daughter graduated from there...I remember when her dorm had to be evacuated a few years back when "powder" was found in her dorm building and it had to be evacuated at midnight. It is frigging scary to be a UT parent and turning on the news to see that, can't imagine having a kid there now.
Hugs/thoughts to the UT Austin community.
And...why am I having to go to the local online news media since there seems to be NO ongoing coverage on cable news?
