Lamar Alexander warns 'not enough money' to help everyone

Congress won't be able to appropriate enough money to help all those impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, Sen. Lamar Alexander warned on Sunday.

"There's not enough money to help everybody hurt when you shut down the government," the Tennessee Republican said on NBC's "Meet the Press."

The solution to reopening the economy is to "test, trace isolate, treatments and vaccines," said Alexander, who chairs the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. "We have to let people go back to work and earn a living.

"And I don't see us being able to appropriate much more money to help provide a counter to that," he added.

covid assistance for big business, but when it's time to help small businesses and regular people, the cupboards, as Cheato likes to say, are bare.

Oh, and plenty to pay for Cheato's weekly golf trips and to line Cheato's own pockets by overcharging the Secret Service for rooms and golf carts.

Sorry for the needy, but that's the way Republicans work. And there are enough people running around out there (and here) who think any money that gets to the needy is too much, undeserved, and the greedy got some, too.

where is the magical place that is running out of money? They are not spending money that they have from a pile of it hidden somewhere. He should be honest and simply say that he does not want to make more new money for poor people.
