With the first Presidential debate less than three weeks away, Mitt Romney is spending lots of time getting ready behind closed doors. In his first comments on that debate prep, he told me that Sen. Rob Portman is a tough stand-in for a President who basically lies in debates.
"I think the challenge that I'll have in the debate is that the president tends to, how shall I say it, to say things that aren't true," Romney said. "I've looked at prior debates. And in that kind of case, it's difficult to say, 'Well, am I going to spend my time correcting things that aren't quite accurate? Or am I going to spend my time talking about the things I want to talk about?"
The former governor told me he's tempted to use Ronald Reagan's famous line against President Carter in a 1980 debate, "There you go again" - the same line that Bill Clinton turned on Romney and the Republicans at the Democratic convention in Charlotte.

This who article shows how much of a joke Mittens really is but theres one part that really gets to me.
Romney said the most important numbers in this election are 23, 47 and 16.
"23 million Americans out of work or underemployed. 47 million people on food stamps. $16 trillion in debt. And now the Federal Reserve, it says, " Look, this economy is not going well," he said.
What Mittens doesn't tell you is that is he's elected the numbers will be at least 46, 0 and 32. Thats 46 millions Americans out of work, 0 people of food stamps because he will get rid of them and 32 trillion in debt.

(2,522 posts)"...spend my time talking about the things I want to talk about". Ignore those obviously biased questions and follow the voices in your head (or ear, as the case may be). Don't let reality restrict you. You're above all that

(21,646 posts)he is not a superhero it will be a hard debate
and sometimes it is the mere image projected not the words said
if they can project liar ,loser and all kinds of stuff on him the debate will go to Rmoney
They have been working on liar for a while so
and it(Rmoney) is a tool who's blade perhaps sharpened by the likes of neocon Rove could challenge better than expected they said he practices a lot
They need to win votes off the debates
Looked how they jigged up Palin against Biden-
say it ain't so Joe
stuff like that can stick
or Raygun's- there you go again line in debates
For Biden too Ryan is a challenge on just his own hyper intensity
