I've been amused in the past by the term 'paralyzingly stupid'. But this is a rather dismaying kind of stupid.

(15,805 posts)movie posters depicting Trump in some cheesy cosplay get up with ripped abs and bulging codpieces. He's their dime store hero, singlehandedly battling wild blond women wielding penis shaped ray guns to turn their patriarchal version of Amerika into a liberal feminist utopia.
Republicans want sensational pictures. It's their primary method of assimilating information. Fox News gives them blond women in sexy red dresses, and loud talking men that sound like comic book tough guys.
It's all about the mental images.
