5. I've been arguing with a brother about this.

He's nearly 62 and has cancer, with a 3 to 5-year prognosis. He refuses to wear a mask, and says he's boycotting Smart & Final and Costco because they require them, along with "dictatorial" governors -- and they can't tell him what to do. *rme*

Thick-skulled stubbornness is a family trait, but he's extreme even for us. Even knowing that he's in a high-risk demographic, he refuses to take precautions. As a hardcore Libertarian with a capital "L", he thinks COVID-19 is some kind of socialist plot. He loved and highly recommended the "Plandemic" movie, and so far there's been absolutely nothing I can do or say to change his mind.

He can be a jackass, but he's a baby brother I half raised.

6. I am so Sorry to hear this, silverweb! As far as "boycotting

Costco".. again sorry.. but that means more TP for us. My friend took me Friday and it was the first time I was able to get a case of TP since before the Pandemic started.

We are very serious over here on Kauai.. and we haven't had any new cases in 8 weeks and no deaths.

We're Tough.. we wear masks!

9. If Trump would just put a mask on his STUPID FACE he would SAVE LIVES

From reading increasingly toxic NextDoor posts, not wearing masks is apparently considered patriotic by some. Patriotic!!!! Literally insane, I know, but the virus will make itself comfy in them regardless and they will spread it to others.

If their god would put on a mask, they would obediently follow suit, and lives would be saved. But he would look... idk, like a guy in a mask, and that would be terrible or something, so people will have to die. Oh well! It’s not like he’s the president or anything, so it doesn’t matter whether he does the right thing. At least he won’t have to go to his grave knowing that he wore a mask in public once.
