(42,568 posts)There was a thread a few days ago about how the mafia in Sicily is taking advantage of the coronavirus opportunity. The sentence I quoted in my post title really resonated with me for how the Trump Administration functions. Even though Trump is the chief executive of the U.S., he is constantly acting as if the apparatus he is in charge of is the enemy. And his supporters echo that back.

(9,426 posts)He should have paid attention to all the red flags about this pandemic. He should have followed the guidelines set out by previous presidents, on how to handle a crisis like this. Oh, well golf and rallies were top of his agenda. Now it is everyone else's fault, except his. He had a lot on his mind. Like WHAT? I think what he is most upset about is not the death toll, the unemployment numbers, the hungry lines of citizens, but the lack of $$$$ going into the tRump coffers from ignoring the emoluments clause. Not to mention that his biggest debt collectors will be Russia and China if he loses the WH. What good is he then?

Would love to put that on a t-shirt, but the people around here, would need help with the big words.
