It confounds me that consecutive administrations find every possible, long term scary conspiracy theory about how our various enemies might attack us. Yet they remain notoriously shortsighted when it comes to preparing for domestic threats. Example being the Covid 19 virus which still is not being managed.

We gloat and boast over our vast collection of expensive war toys, but we become miserly skinflints when it comes to giving school kids some lunch. If we can send our precious blood and treasure off to fight in foreign wars, then why can't we can't every person in this very wealthy land have insurance coverage so they don't die because they can't afford their insulin meds.

We make humane laws to provide adequate food and living conditions for livestock, but we don't have the will to treat people the same way.

I believe they are already involved in things. But they could do more. And they aren't safe either .
