Having a lot of weird dreams. Of course dreams are always weird

And I’m still having the sorts of dreams that mix people you have known thru out your life but at different times. They’ll all be there with in the dream. But lately, because I don’t have any schedule I’m up in the middle of the night, wake up early, go back to sleep whenever I think about it. So I guess I’m in a half asleep mode and have dreams of getting out of bed and doing whatever. Sometimes when I really do wake up I’m not sure of my last few memories. And my memory in general seems to be slipping. I was looking for some hand sanitizer I got yesterday, remember clearly I bought two bottles. I looked all over and have come to the conclusion that I’d dreamt it.

As I’ve gotten older my memory has dropped off like most people but just lately it feels like I fell off a ski jump.

1. My friends and I are having the same thing

I think we're all swimming around in our collective unconscious, without distraction. I'm seeing it as a good thing, but it is taking some effort to digest. Most mornings I wake up with blurry memories and one or two brief things I want to remember. I need to start writing these down.

you're not alone. My beloved and I have been stay-at-home for nearly two months now, and the pervasive, leaden mood of our world, combined with the loss of routine and faith in our systems, has left us comparing notes about our perceived loss of brain mass. These are just horrible times, taking a broad POV, but within our family, using the personal POV, things are lovely.

Go figure.

5. Does anyone else feel grief?

My therapist says it's grief for the past, absent familiar. I feel grief once I wake each morning, and frankly cry for about an hour before I can get my day going with some project or another.

Very clear; the limit was two and I was relieved to find them with the little hand pump. I also dreamed a couple days ago that I got my stimulus check. I guess when your world becomes so narrow you focus on the things you are concerned about.

I was a little kid dreaming about Halloween. Good luck with the check, we haven't gotten ours either.

But it's been reported as a side effect of some of the meds I take (cardiac, blood pressure). Some times it might involve someone I haven't even thought of for years. Sleep walking has been reported but as far as I know that hasn't happened to me yet.

7. I always have strange, vivid dreams.

But I’ve been having some real doozies lately, like you, involving people from every part of my life, celebrities, just a huge mishmosh. The other night, Chef Jose Andres was in my kitchen making jambalaya for my choir, and I was bitching him out about what he was putting in it, and he was bitching me out about an old jar of pickled jalapeños in my refrigerator.

And when I got there I found out it was just like earth. Trees, plants, roads, cities full of intelligent human creatures just like us who even spoke English...except we had no idea it existed.

And yet I knew we had to return back and was nervous about the trip home.

that I got up out of my chair and let my dog and moose calf out and then had to chase them down two flights stairs bare foot onto the wet pavement. I was jumping puddles and was very irritated.

I woke up before I caught them.

Usually I can tie the dreams I remember to something I learned or read or watched on tv.

Don't know what that was about. I don't have a dog or a moose calf.

13. I just had my first one ever last night about a mass of people in a store parking lot and me running

I remember driving there but it was dark and somehow ended up on foot, the packed mob going into the store was too much and I tried to leave, theres no way was I gonna go any closer, then of course I realized I was in a panic thinking the car was stolen after looking and not finding it, that always freaks me out, lol

Earth was under attack by aliens. I was a soldier, but most of us weren't trained because it was an emergency, and I had a hard time not shooting people by accident when they surprised me by coming up behind or from around a corner. I had to make sure my gun was loaded because it only held one cartridge at a time and that kept me busy (I don't know anything about guns and I guess the old Western I saw on TV the other day was still in my head, so my dream-gun was like a nineteenth century rifle -- also like an old Western, I never missed).

Then the aliens figured out it would be easier to conquer the planet by blending in. They began to capture people and invade their bodies instead of killing them. Some of my fellow soldiers tied me up and handed me over to an alien who paid them. I thought they must be aliens, but if that were true they wouldn't have been paid to capture me (would they?). The alien was surprisingly nice, told me that if I could manage to escape it would let me go. Trying to escape was like a "Mission Impossible" movie and went on and on, but finally I did. I returned to the street where I lived and everything was back to normal, people going shopping and eating in restaurants as if the war never happened. I saw a couple of people I knew but they didn't recognize me. I knew they were aliens. Was everyone an alien? WAS I AN ALIEN?

The End

Sounds about right.

Usually on off world mining operations as slave hosts, then redeposting them back without them knowing it, you were lucky

Sometimes the aware ones here call it deja vu

Its the insectoids you have to watch out for, they have a contract with the earther shadow govts for a harvest quota of human abductions for their hybrid breeding program, some of them never make it back, nasty business
