To those of you about to die as a result of your own stupidity, your own arrogance, your own selfishness, rest assured you will go to your graves unmourned and unmissed by the rest of us. Having fewer stupid, arrogant, selfish people in the world is a blessing – especially under the current circumstances.

To those of you about to die because you insist on risking your lives for a haircut, a manicure, or a tattoo, I hope you will find comfort in leaving this world as a good-looking corpse – and I hope that’s the only comfort you experience as you breathe your last.

I am out of fucks to give. I am out of sympathy for the kool-aid drinkers, the mindless sheep willing to blindly follow a brainless idiot who doesn’t have the mental acuity to avoid staring directly into the sun during a solar eclipse.

It’s sad to say, but when I see crowds of Trump-humpers protesting the only proven-to-be effective measures of obeying lock-down orders and business closures, I know some of them will die as a result of exposing themselves to a fatal disease – but my only thought is that that means fewer Trump-humpers among us. And that’s something I really can’t get teary-eyed about.

So to those who are about to die due to your own irresponsibility, your own selfishness in refusing to take measures that protect your fellow citizens, or in pursuit of some ludicrous attempt to show your support a fucking moron who is already responsible for deaths of tens of thousands of Americans, I salute you – with an upturned middle finger. (Actually, make that two.)

And just so you know, Trump doesn’t care if you die any more than I do.

It's not that Donnie just doesn't care if you die.

Donnie is killing. He's actively killing. He can make it look as if it's circumstances out of his control, or out of some imagined ideological perspective, but it doesn't matter, because what matters is that Trump knows exactly what he's doing. When Newtie was Speaker of the House, he did something unprecedented.

Back then, it was common for many in Congress to re-locate to MD, VA, DE, and bring families. There was a lot of across-the-aisle comraderie. They would all get together for holiday parties, summer soft-ball games, BBQs, birthday get-togethers, Fourth of July fireworks on the Mall, at the Memorial, etc. In this way, they all got to know not just each other, but the wives, husbands, children. Congressional wives played a HUGE part in these relationships. They formed bonds of friendship and yes, affection for one another. They could often agree to disagree, but came together to pass legislation that was good for the nation, not just their immediate constituency. They became friends and worked in a "let's find some common ground here" kind of way. The country was better off for it, too, as frequently they could join in reaching out to the other side to get important things done.

Then came Newtie. He prohibited republican members of the House from bringing their families to the area OR fraternization with the other side. He put an end to all of the get-togethers and parties and BBQs and Fourth of July celebrations. In short time, this began to take effect and began to produce the unwillingness to work together and form common bonds. Now, it was - no longer friends - it's THEM vs. US. Now, animosity replaced kindness, spirited dialogue became insulting character assassination and outright hostility replaced any semblence of cooperation.

There are other guilty parties of course. But every time I see Newtie's fat, smug face, I remember that it was not always like this and that he played a big part in what we are left with now.
